The all New 2013 Chevy Malibu is poised to become the best selling mid-size sedan on the market and Holm Automotive is excited about treating our loyal patrons residing in Abilene, Salina, Junction City, and Manhattan Kansas to this exciting new ride. The newly designed Malibu will be seen first as the 2013 Malibu Eco which will use GM's new eAssist Hybrid technology to achieve up to 38 EPA estimated MPG's. Introduced later on, a 280 horsepower Turbocharged 2.0 Liter Ecotec will be a blast to drive and still be reasonable at the pump.
Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, and Ford Fusion drivers will definitely want to check out the new Chevy Malibu. The technology incorporated into the Malibu's roomier and stylish design will appeal to today's tech-savvy drivers. A color touch screen offers an all-new MyLink infotainment system with both Pandora and Stitcher SmartRadio plus i-Pod connectivity. Also being introduced are lane-departure and forward-collision warning systems and a rearview camera. According to Car and Driver, '"Chevy designer emptied their piggy banks for the interior. As before three trim levels will be offered. Cool-Blue direct lighting, contrast-color stitching, and accent upholstery welting set a pleasant mood."
For the exterior design, Chevy looked at an old favorite for inspiration. According to John Cafaro, Director of passenger car exterior design for Chevy, "This design is reminiscent of some of the Great Camaros of the early '70s. It was a [Bill] Mitchell thing, and it kind of lives on. So the Camaro's influence on the designers is profound."
With the more muscular design, we have to wonder, 'will they treat us to a SS model?' It's pleasing to see the Chevy Malibu take a different approach with so many cars that look no different from one another. The all new Malibu sets itself apart and will let you feel unique on the road.
