1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne C-20

John Persell from Hope had a tornado hit his house and his garage this summer. In his garage were his wifes 2007 Tahoe, his 1988 Chevrolet C3500 Dually and his 1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne C-20. We repaired the Tahoe and the Dually. After they were finished, John was so impressed with our work that he asked us if we would like to repair his classic 1971 Chevrolet truck. I told him that although we try and stay away from "restoration work", we would be happy to. He said time was not an issue and we could have it as long as we needed it. The insurance company paid around $8,000 in damages for the truck.  The truck was virtually rust free, except for little spots in the fenders, which we replaced. The truck has 52,000 original miles on it so it was in pretty good shape. We started by completely stripping the truck, removing all trim, lights, mirrors, etc. We removed the bed and took out all scratches, dents and dings. Our body technician, Greg Hagemeister did all the body work, straightening, installing new body parts and aligning them. Our painter, Jason Manning painted the truck the original two-tone blue and white with DuPont base coat/clear coat. Our painters helper, Cory Huff sprayed the Quikliner spray in bedliner. It took 2 full months of working on the truck. As you can see in the pictures, the truck turned out beautifully. John is VERY happy with how the truck turned out.
